This school has been nothing short of transformative. You can tell how much every staff member here cares about the students. There are lots of Fusion campuses in the Bay Area, but Fusion Palo Alto has got to be the best. Couldn't recommend this school enough!

Our experience with Fusion Academy has been absolutely life-changing for our daughter and our entire family. The transition from public school to Fusion was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. From day one, our middle schooler has truly thrived — academically, socially, and emotionally.
The teachers are exceptional — caring, passionate, and deeply invested in every student’s success. The 1:1 instruction model has allowed our daughter to learn at her own pace, with lessons tailored specifically to her strengths, interests, and learning style. The ambience of the campus is warm, welcoming, and inspiring — a place where students actually want to be.
We especially love the Homework Café, where learning continues in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. The way the entire staff collaborates — teachers, mentors, and administrators — truly reflects their commitment to each student’s well-being and growth.
Another highlight is the daily feedback emails. They keep us informed and connected to our daughter’s progress, offering real-time insights that help reinforce her learning and celebrate her achievements.

The counselor was unprepared to spend time tailored to what was needed.

My child has had severe anxiety and depression since Covid quarantine and missed most of her junior year in high school due to school refusal. Her transformation since enrolling at Fusion Palo Alto feels like a miracle. She has regained her confidence, enjoys learning and going to school, is extremely engaged, and she recently increased her class load so she can graduate on time (her idea). She brings what she's learning in history, science, art and other classes into her everyday conversations (I am learning a lot!), and she has discovered a new passion for writing, which the wonderful teachers are nurturing since they can tailor the assignments to her. She’s challenged academically and has gone from not passing to A's.

I was concerned my child would not have a fulfilling social experience at Fusion but this has also been amazing. Kai, the head of school, and Nand, the director of the homework cafe, have done a tremendous job in creating a close, warm and supportive community. My daughter says all the students are so kind and supportive of one another. She enjoys spending time with them during homework cafe, and she's made friends. Teachers also spend time with the students and often play chess with them, which my daughter can’t get enough of. Whenever I walk into the school, I'm entering such a welcoming space where the students are often sitting together engaged in conversation or a game, and they all look happy. One child I’ve known for many years was sitting at a table with Nand and other students, and he was smiling and laughing and looked happier than I’d ever seen him before.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff and teachers. They are all incredibly dedicated and supportive. Parents receive a detailed summary after every class. The staff are warm, very approachable, and welcoming, and they really get to know each student. Kai is always available, super responsive, and obviously cares deeply about each kid and creating an environment where they all feel nurtured and valued. My heart is filled with gratitude toward her, the staff, and teachers. This place is a gem. I wish we'd enrolled my child much sooner.

Fusion Palo Alto enabled our child to take a full summer of Spanish language classes. This will help them stay on track for high school graduation and college application requirements. Whether in person or virtually, the Fusion faculty are top notch and the instructors can be tailored to students’ learning differences.

We so appreciate the care and attention that Fusion Academy offered to our son who in elementary needed to improve his writing skills. Anthony tutored my son the last four years, a critical time with the impact of the pandemic. Meeting twice a week helped to ground my son's study habits. More importantly, Anthony served not only as a tutor but a great role-model and friend.

Our daughter has been having challenges with school attendance for the past 5 years. Fusion was instrumental in helping her finish 10th grade.

Our son has done "summer school" with Fusion twice.
It allowed him to review and improve his grade. We are so happy that he was able to work with Fusion. The teachers are capable and prepared, connecting with Kai is always efficient and uncomplicated.

The staff are welcoming, kind and make learning fun.

Our son took a full year's course load (2 semesters) of a level-3 language class over the summer of 2023. Teacher Jiangli was outstanding. Kai, the head of the school in Palo Alto, and her staff were terrific. The entire enrollment process, class scheduling, with an assessment after every class, along with great instruction was quite smooth, with no surprises end to end. Our son had the option of either entirely online, in-person, or a mix of both. He chose online-only.

Being more structured with scheduling and communication from administrative staff. Ensuring they put the customer first. Overall not a great environment for a child with anxiety.

After attending there for five years, our son has just graduated from Fusion Academy in Palo Alto. After a dismal start at middle school, with learning difficulties in reading, writing, and math, the teachers at Fusion got to know him and his learning preferences. They were extremely patient, kind, and encouraging, making him appreciate his smartness.

Public school is difficult if your child has learning issues and no behaviors. They slide under the radar, do no work, then get very poor grades, which impact their confidence and self-esteem.

Fusion also can work with your family's schedule and child's routines - so the school day can start later or earlier depending on sports and activities.

We are so very proud our son got a GPA of 3.75 and had a happy time getting supported by the team at Fusion Academy.

Fusion Academy Palo Alto was a godsend for both our kids and therefore our whole family. The pandemic version of middle school was hard on our kids, and they really responded to the one-on-one learning environment at Fusion Palo Alto, where they could get as much help as they needed, dive deeper into topics of passion, and go slower or faster through parts of the curriculum depending on their previous knowledge level. I have taught high school and college English (Nueva HS and Columbia U. respectively), and I can honestly say that all the teachers at Fusion Palo Alto were outstanding. They consistently provided high-quality, engaging lessons. They also provided sensitive and nuanced academic and emotional support when needed. Our kids loved all their teachers, and one of our kids, who has never really enjoyed school, even commented that he didn’t want the Fusion science class to end. Had it not been for the pandemic, I might not have considered sending my kids to Fusion Academy in Palo Alto, but now that I know the school well, I can see how much it can offer kids no matter their circumstances. I can imagine it being great for kids for many reasons—if they need to go faster or slower through a curriculum, if they need less social pressure, if they need a calmer or more caring environment, if they want better access to great electives, etc. They enjoyed the peers they met at the school, and there were many fun social opportunities available to them. I also need to say something about the fantastic leadership and staff. They all clearly love working there and helping kids and families. They were all extremely friendly, helpful, easy to work with, responsive, smart, and fun to talk with. Our family highly recommends Fusion Palo Alto without reservation.

Fusion academy has been a Godsend for our child. The teachers are great about adapting to the students learning style. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They make sure if our child needs a little extra help figuring the school out, they are there. It's wonderful! I love it.

Our son needed a reprieve from the fast, speeding train of traditional high school, it’s pressure and pace, and after a serious car accident had him missing school, served as a catalyst for some greater realizations and feelings of unhappiness in that setting. Fusion welcomed all of him and it’s been a pleasure witnessing him returning to himself, engaged intellectually, emotionally, and receiving such loving and personalized instruction. We are truly grateful that he had the opportunity to attend Fusion and really blossom into the learner he is, renew himself and be welcomed and celebrated for who he is.

I wish I had found this school earlier. My son had been struggling in high school and his grades were getting progressively worse every semester. When his school went to virtual learning, he was failing several classes. He is a bright and capable student and we tried everything we could to help him get his grades up, nothing worked. We were recommended this school by his doctor that we see for his ADHD. I liked the one to one ratio that they have for their classes. Even virtually, this would be better for him, as he would be engaged with his teacher. I also liked that Fusion Academy offered a greater variety of courses than his public school. My son would be able to pursue his interests and not be stuck in an elective he has no interest in and didn't want to take.
When we decided to enroll him, the staff at the school were very helpful and answered the many questions and concerns that we had. We were able to move him quickly to this school, just a matter of a week or two. Because he was failing his classes, we had him restart the semester (he only completed one quarter at his old school). He was able to finish the school year at the same time as his peers.
Our son is doing so much better at Fusion. He went from failing and nearly failing to straight A's. He enjoys his classes and loves that he can take courses that were not offered to him at his old school.
I'm glad that we found Fusion.
