What is Rakuten Rewards?
Rakuten Rewards is a Cash Back website that pays users for shopping at select stores. We are one of the biggest Cash Back companies in the world, and we have been making the e-shopping experience more enjoyable since 1997. We have over 10,000 employees, over 17 million U.S. members, and over $3.7 billion distributed in Cash Back, making us an established, trusted program on the e-commerce scene. Rakuten headquarters is located in Tokyo.
How does Rakuten work?
Getting Cash Back rewards from Rakuten is easy. Simply sign up for a free account, and then start shopping on the Rakuten website, through the Rakuten app, or by downloading the Rakuten browser extension. Money gets added to your Cash Back balance when you shop at an affiliate store. You can then get paid via PayPal or check. If it seems too good to be true, here’s how it works: Companies in Rakuten’s affiliate network pay us commissions whenever one of our members shops with them, and we share those commissions with you as Cash Back.
How is Rakuten different?
The word “rakuten” means “optimism” in Japanese. It's a word that defines the way Rakuten operates, from the opportunities we provide our members to the brands we affiliate with. We are different because we want to make spending money a more rewarding experience for all our members. Membership is completely free and there’s no limit to how much money you can earn in Cash Back. There are also no rebate forms you need to mail in and there’s no complicated points system that hides how much money you’ve actually earned. We do as we promise and pay you in cash, which is why Rakuten is a global leader on the e-commerce scene.
What stores can you shop at?
Many stores and companies are part of the Rakuten affiliate network, from big-box stores such as Target and Walmart to websites such as Hotels.com and Upwork.com. Rakuten is expanding to all sorts of businesses so you can make money while eating at restaurants, planning trips, and fixing your car. Download the browser extension, Rakuten Cash Back Button, if you want to stay up to date on all the stores you can earn Cash Back with. It will highlight available offers in search results and alert you to store sites that are part of the affiliate network.
When will I get Cash Back?
Rakuten members get their earned Cash Back every three months. Stores will verify with us that the order was complete when you purchase with them, which can take a few hours to a few days, depending on the store. Once the purchase is verified, we’ll let you know Cash Back has been added to your account. Any order that’s still pending on payday will be added to the next payment cycle.

Now boost that with 1% - 3% (or higher) from Rakuten. Oh, if something is on sale no Cash back. You already saved : ( . I do not buy food online, so I don't know about that.

I was invited by a friend and made a…
I was invited by a friend and made a purchase to qualify for the $50 promotion. Then I invited a friend. My friend made a purchase and invited another coworker.
When we had all qualified, they shut down all of our accounts so they wouldn’t have to pay out.
The person who invited me was a member for over 6 years.
They claimed that inviting other people is a terms of service violation.
Kind of a crazy policy if you’re offering financial incentive for it.
If anyone else has had this happen, let me know. We’re looking to get 40 people together to file a class action lawsuit.

Easy way to get cash back
Easy way to get cash back, I get PayPals from stuff I buy for work and home. I thought it was a scam or something, but I've used them for years and have got back hundreds of dollars over time.

While all the clothing fit - there was very little that I liked. I was expecting clothes that I could wear into my office. I only received 1 pair of shorts, no pants. Don't feel like they got my styling directions correct
