I’ve used Yahoo Mail for 18 years, and they locked me out of my account for no reason

Bis zum 30.06.2026 konnten auf meinem Mail-Account 1000 GB gespeichert werden. Das prüfte ich monatlich denn auf 2 anderen Accounts bei yahoo wurden Kürzungen im Frühjahr angekündigt. Aber auf dem ersten Account mit 75 gespeicherten GB hieß es weiterhin 1000 GB sind korrekt.
Am 01.07.2026 erhielt ich - ohne eine Vorankündigung !!! - die Mitteilung ab Juli 2026 hätte ich nur noch ein Speichervolumen von 15 GB und ab August 2026 wird der Account gesperrt - wenn nicht auf unter 15 GB reduziert oder dafür gezahlt wird.
So ein Geschäftsgebaren ist unseriös.

Dopo 12 anni mi ritrovo ade aver perso tutti i contatti, ho provato a ripristinare il mio account ma mi ritrovo che loro hanno i miei contatti obsoleti, di 12 anni fa e non riesco più a recuperare il mio account che ho utilizzato fino a 20 giorni fa . Tutto all'improvviso questi signori mi hanno rovinato

Don’t call the customer service number. You listen to ads for 5 minutes and then it disconnects.

For those that have suffered Yahoo imposing its search engine on you, do the following:
1) Click on the 3 dots at the top right hand side of your screen;
2) Click on 'Settings';
3) Click on 'Search Engine';
4) Click on Chrome (or your search engine of choice);
5) Click on 'Set as Default'.
Problem solved.

My yahoo mail service currently is none operational for the second time in 2 months, Yahoo's help service was useless.
Not impressed.

Im not sure what happened with yahoo, but I have so much junk and spams in my email so much to where the actual emails I need are not coming through. As of today I will be deactivating my account and signing up with Gmail, the unwanted sex adds are enough!

Yahoo support bot is useless. I'm gonna try to move all my accounts away. I've had my account for years, but what is the purpose of having it if you implemented the 2-factor authentication they suggested and suddenly your key doesn't work? Then, to top it all, you can't get assistance when needed.

Absololute rubbish. I don knpw whats happened and I dont care anymore because they are history.
Ive sent numerous Emails with important attachments and guess what they have lost them . Tried everyting, Thanks Yahoo goodbyeand bloody good riddance.
I reccomend everyone who has an Yahoo email address to change and let them rot

Silly me decided to try new yahoo and now I can't access anything having gone to basic.

Its a vital lifeline for me as I'm partially sighted and all the dross on the new yahoo is far too confusing for me and I still couldn't increase the font size!!
So after being with yahoo forever looks like I have to move. I'm disgusted with them

The fact that the first thing I see before writing this review is a prompt asking, “What went wrong this time?” says a lot about the level of service being provided.
I called Yahoo on behalf of my uncle, who has been trying for over two weeks to regain access to his Yahoo account. Every time he calls and enters his information, the automated system disconnects the call. Today, I was finally able to reach a representative and explained the situation. I asked if we could do a three-way call with my uncle, but I was told that was not allowed. I then offered to connect him to the call and disconnect myself so he could speak directly with the representative, but that request was also denied.
I even asked if I could briefly relay questions between my uncle and the representative, but she refused. Throughout the conversation, she was rude, dismissive, and ultimately hung up on me.
What was most frustrating was her comment that if I really wanted to help my uncle, I should go to him in person. I found that extremely disrespectful, as she knows nothing about his circumstances. His email account is directly tied to his work, making this issue even more urgent.
This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I would not recommend Yahoo to family or friends based on this experience. I hope Yahoo takes steps to better train its employees and put someone on their team who truly cares about helping others, so they can provide the level of customer support that its users deserve.

So many things to list! Came out last year to overseed and aereate our lawn, $1,400 and gave their workers $100 tip. Said they were going to be doing 4-6 treatments over the year (never happened). When I called, texted or emailed they just ghosted us. Anyway, this Spring I tried to get ahold of them because I have never seen such a mess!!! It looked like they put weed seed on it. Again, nobody would get back to us and if they did and said they would come out (at least 3x) they never did. Don't recommend this company. Won't give my money back so I can find someone to fix the acre of yard! This is being nice, there is so much more!

The new Yahoo Mail layout on the screen. Absolutely sucks!!! absolutely useless. Turning your screen into a 1/2 screen. What in the hell are they trying to do these developers need to leave s*** alone.

they have given me a virus so everytime i search something up, all i see on my screen is the words yahoo website yahoo website yahoo website yahoo.website. Plz tell me how I can report them.

It takes you longer to sign in than to read your emails. Incredibly annoying. Part of a trend where tech companies put the burden of security on the user. They say, 'oh, it is for your security.' Nonsense. 25 years ago it worked just fine. Laziness.
